Thought about life and leapt to SIA Engineering company. Just a hundred dollars more but looks better on resume.

8 years to break 5k? Why not hop to another company for a better increment?

Ya, that's the average, so you are questioning the credibility of this data, or are you expecting all of the data comes from fresh graduates????
If a company has hundreds of manager positions for engineers, then it's legitimate for more engineers to earn more than 20k per month.
Singapore Salary Increases Stabilize
The salary growth for Singaporean is 4.5 % on average
So, use 3300(1.045)*29=12k,if you do not get any promotion until your retirement, that's your salary, ok, you will get promotion along the career, but how do you earn more than 10k with only few years experience???

OK, sorry 3300(1.045)*40=19k, if you want to retire at age 65.....

Of course, DSTA is probably like the 80th percentile and above in terms of starting pay while ST should be 30th percentile and below. One is above average and the other is below average.

lol. Then will ST hire 2nd lower eng grads? If both only take in 2nd upper then the choice is obvious.
