You must be a desparate engineer trying to escape the poverty trap of engineering... Congrats that you come to realisation after 4 years... i'm also an ex-engineer who switched several years back... .... Just a piece of advice if you were to join the finace sector.. you have to be prepare for a possible paycut initially.. endure insults from clients and superiors, selfish back-stabbing colleagues.. you got to be good enough to survive the politics.. The politics in banks will be many times worse than what you have encounter before in engineering... Be prepared to learn to be obliging and stay likable... All the best..

but what does an operations officer in a bank does? Job scope ?

why it need engineering degree with manufacturing exp?

since I got 4 years of manufacturing exp which fit the job requirements, why is it have to be a pay-cut...

I should have a pay 15-20% increment instead upon jumping ship

Up to your negotiation skills.
A respectable firm will assess your profile fairly.
