Bonus is largely institutional based (i.e will be similar across most department for average performer), usually Ard 3-4 mths including aws. (Also confirmed by some of the older fps i.e the r5s and 6s)
There is no sign on bonus nowadays (at least for my si)

You sure this is similar to gm ac?
I am pretty sure ac starting pay is 12k leh..

Personally I am thinking of going locum for the few months leading up to mmed (jul-nov) before deciding on my long term plans
- I don't think I can work and study at the same time (really too jaded liao, I know many of my seniors did it and say can be done, but I really cannot. Maybe I old/weak lol). Hence will aim to locum 2-3 days a week, and spent rest of week study. Also can get some intro to private practice, and see if I am happy with the that, before deciding long term future.
- I must also say I dont think/not confident I can pass mmed; without mmed, I think no point stay in ops also 😂.

To be fair, my faculty is quite fair and nice. They say that as long as I complete residency, even if I choose to leave after, they will still invite me to their zoom tutorials/revision or
teaching session(Of course I won't get sponser for the prep course and exam la)

Just wanted to highlight this so that pple don't get carried away with fp pay. Even with mmed, your basic pay is probably between a reg and ac. Hospital reg will probably earn more than you if you include their call pay (esp given the recent revision)
Hi can check east/west/central? all SIs same pay? i got quoted quite a bit less…

very hard to pass m.med in private because you don't know what you are doing wrong .
for example I like to say ' sorry ah' naturally when I examine patient, but I don't even realise it until someone point it out to me
end of the day m.med osce is a performance. you can actually be quite lousy (like me) but faking it with people help till I made it.
in polyclinic if u got a r4 next door, ask him mini cex u one last case before lunch or home helps immensely.
the do or die together spirit with others taking the exam also v important.
very siong last time, nearing exam every day end late at 8 to 9m 3 times a week then alternate days mug scenario at home yourself.

but once u pass, it's yours forever. u talk can also a bit louder.
r4 before m.med is when u really mature and 进步神速

Lol ok.
You can choose to believe what you want to believe.
FM trainees don’t work hard?
You can have a go at the MMed and the fellowship exams.

haha, not hard to draw out this guy.
FM residency is competitive nowadays, my resident apply 2 to 3 times before getting in.
need to come a salary forum of all place to recruit for what?

prolly just a sore guy who can't believe that the salary for fp had progressed while he languished in gp land with a lousy salary, underappreciated and overworked.

you've been owned, dude. suck it up.
m.med fp dun start at 20k/mth la. it's about 15k/per mth initially, depend on how much pple like u, r8 or r9 hit 20k/mth not impossible.
ah bo u think why all the clinic got a core group of people bring work v hard but don't leave?
if work is punishing and pay suck, fp is one of the easiest field to setup a shop anywhere, not like general surgery or cardiology.
any m.medder go out can hit the ground running and small chain all like to take m.meder becuase battle proven. they pay 12 to 15k.

use ur brain a little bit la.
