AI is coming…
AI is coming to the whole world.
Many jobs will be replaced.
Very easy to say… doesn’t make one a genius…

Knowing how to code, or knowing how to develop AI / ML is only one part of the equation.
You need to fit it into the ecosystem of various industries in order for it to flourish.
Even tech giants haven’t cracked the code of AI in healthcare yet simply because there are too many variables, and humans are not rational beings.
You can code algorithms, but you cannot re-program the minds of humans.
Not everything is binary.
There are many ethical dilemmas and principles in medicine (and probably several other jobs) that cannot be replaced simply with an algorithm.

I agree AI is definitely not a threat. Mid-level providers however, are a threat to us though.

How to decide between diagnostic radiology and pathology? I'm not so keen on interacting with live patients. More interested in dealing solely with the disease entity and understanding the underlying problem, than physically interacting with patients. In fact, the less I can interact with patients directly, the better. DR and Patho seem appealing because they both allow me the ability to focus on my work.

This country is facing a huge health crisis. Yet people only worry about their job security.

I am surprised why no vaccinologists/immunologists come forward to speak about Covid vaccination. Only doctors talk about vaccination. Since when have doctors become an expert in vaccinology ? Or maybe this country lacks vaccinologists ?

The degree of your ignorance is laughable. An immunologist is a doctor.
