Can we steer the topic to something that actually matters?

How much is the annual lockstep increment for junior associates in law firms?

Big 4 or 5 : $1000?

Mid tiers: $500 to $800?

What about smaller firms (50 lawyers or so)

True but that can be very stressful too and its mostly confined to very small firms (e.g. solo partner with 1 or 2 associates under him) and more low-value type of legal work like probate, wills, injury claims the like.

I've never seen this kind of arrangement for anything larger than a 10-lawyer firm and I would never expect a 2PQE associate to bring in a large corporate client (unless his father's company is the corporate client).

Anecdotally, I've heard the increases in lockstep is usually something like

Big 4 and other top tier firms: NQ: $5.5k, 1PQE: $6.5k, 2PQE: $7.5k, 3PQE: $8-8.5k

Mid tier firms: NQ: $4.5-$5K, 1PQE: $5.3-$5.5k, 2PQE: $6-6.3K, 3PQE: up to $7K

How accurate is this?

IMO, there's really no point going overseas to study pure law now unless you're really loaded. the legal industry is crap now, and automation will replace lawyers in about 20+ years anyway.

you're better off studying PPE or just pure econs in UK. if you really want to studdy law, going to Oz is a far better option. The BCom LLB is a pretty good combi, you just need to overcome the stigma of Aussie unis being seen as inferior to UK ones.
Since when was LSE delisted?

hint: PIPPA
i stayed in an condo apartment by myself.

you stayed in your little dorm room the size of a HDB storeroom, you never ventured out cos you dislike the cold weather, you stayed indoors and blasted the heater to give you the 'SG' feel, you felt small around the british and other European nationalities, you went berserk when you saw China guys with white girls, you went bonkers when you saw nigerian guys with white girls, you went through the roof when you saw Pakistani guys with the PRC girls and just when you thought all hope was gone, you caught sight of the Malaysian student society and so you infiltrated that organisation in the hope that at least you could exercise your weight over them given the strong SG currency and other Number 1s that SG is never short off but the Malaysian Society told you exactly where to go and you ended up right where you started 'in that little dorm room the size of a HDB storeroom.'
