I've interned there before under the particular head and I've asked the opinion of a couple of friends who worked there before if I should take up the position. It was a unanimous no from all I surveyed.

Not necessarily, usual dropout years are at Year 2 (for the law burnouts or move to in-house) or Year 4 or 5 (Essentially before junior partner equivalent).
