My understanding is that it ranges between 4.5k to 6k at 0 PQE, and you add about 800 to 1.5k for each additional year of PQE.

Anyone know if this year's Part B civ pro is teaching the new ROC?

May consider paying more for TC starting Jan 2022 since the trainee will literally be the only one familiar with it

Googled them - seems that they have a small Singapore office, comprising around 8-10 partners. The office will probably have around double the number of associates compared to partners. Main practice areas for the Singapore office appears to be M&A / Corporate, Energy, Projects, Arbitration.

Pay will probably be around Silver Circle rates.

I don't think takes too long to get up too speed with the new ROC - after all, the rest of the litigators here (juniors and seniors alike) will have to do the same. The fact that a firm is willing to pay a trainee more for a skillset that is not difficult to develop internally raises questions about how pay is determined for this particular firm...

pay is probably determined by the senior partner in consultation with 2 china bar hostesses around his arms in a people's park centre KTV lounge

What are your thoughts on the new rules of court? Seems like they want it shoehorned down our throats?

I think a lot of the new initiatives are unworkable or will spawn even more litigation and costs, contrary to the objective. Things like single interloc application before trial and AEICs before evidence.

Just suck it up and get on with life, don't ever forget you are easily replaceable with automation or lawyers from delta country.

I don't think delta lawyers will replace Sinkie lawyers. anybody who has worked in the IT sector will know that these imports produce less than quality work. Cheap but not good. You think professional insurance will want to cover their work? Professional negligence and malpractice claims will be through the roof as will the number of law soc complaints.
