17 pqe and international firm? Depending on the area of law, transactional work in the in-house role, etc., i think you can get away with 35k and before taking into account bonus + equity (if public company)

Thanks not public company. But got side income teaching in uni n poly. Paid much better doing less than in practice all in all.

I've seen that the range depends on whether it's a local company, an APAC company, or a global company.

If local company, take a bit off big4 pay equivalent. Adjust upward thereafter for APAC and global.

*I am in-house now, and familiar with the general pay ranges.

I am 2018 called and offered 6k by one local company and 6.5k by a global company. How much wiggle room is there here?
