Oh I didnt know that. Well whats the % of pay cut taken to go in house?

Do you know whats the payscale for 4-5PQE at the big 4?

I am expecting a job offer from a german MNC for an in house job in singapore so I need some data to negotiate salary.

In life really you don’t need FCH, top part b etc, all you need is a good boss who is willing to teach and nurture you never mind your flaws and weaknesses.

If you have that you go far in life, if not, and if you have bosses who are not good, you fail. This is not school.

Pay cut depends on what the MNC is willing to offer you. 4-5 PQE in Big 4 here gets anywhere between 120-150k SGD p.a. all inclusive. An entry in-house counsel position usually doesn't offer that much (unless you're talking about the finance sector), so that's why a paycut is guaranteed.

If it is a German MNC, and Singapore is a subsidiary expect drawing about SGD 4000 to 6000.

Wow I didnt expect that low scale. I was looking at Aquis Search salary survey for 2016 online and their monthly salary range for in house commerce role is SGD8-14k for 4-7 years PQE. Is that accurate??

Please guys, don’t spread rumors. Going in house is a pay cut. No uplift.
Only time when there is uplift if you become EVP, Legal in say a US$10 billion enterprise. Expect to draw US$1-3M after stock options. Other than that, if you want million dollar pay package, be a big 4 Managing Partner or a Partner in magic circle. Thank you

Those who say uplift prob too afraid to tell their friends they are taking paycut to go in house. Cos after all this is a reputation industry. No face cannot survive.

going in house - it was an uplift 10% for me.

I went in-house right after being called. Couldn't stand practice. Per hourly rate, I am making much more now. Gross salary too, I get 10% increment.

Some of the bosses claim that millennial generation is lazy, can’t take the heat etc.

Cos millennials want to get thing done the most efficient way.
