Hear big 4 salary is standard. How does it go in terms of rank and pay for the first 10 years?

Definitely, as every jump will be at least 500 or more.

I will expect at least a 15% increment, with a lean towards 20%. Banks bonuses especially for the functions situated off-site like CBP, are pretty mediocre to put it nicely. Your increment has to make up for this.

Also, the travel will be intense. Even with shuttle buses, the travelling time to and fro everyday will be close to 2 hrs. Not to mention the times when you miss the shuttle bus due to working late, etc. Something for you to consider if you put a value on time outside of work on weekdays.

15% is way too low to ask for when jumping into a bank. Go for 25-30% as a start and settle for anything between 20-25%.

The truth is if banks want you, they wouldn't mind paying 25% more especially if you are just a junior guy making <15k. If they are not impressed with you, your being cheaper by citing 15% upside ain't gonna help anyway.

Trust me, if you cite 25-30% from the onset, the banks won't even bring you in for an interview. It's called internal equity, which particularly affects low-mid level employees. Unless you are a white horse or an exceptional talent in the revenue generating space, nobody's gonna give a **** about how 'impressive' you think you are.

Man, the bank HR is saying max 10+ percent increase only. Should I go in for the experience?
