Unhappy Quiting a new job

Hi all, need a career advice...

Have been working in current coy for 1.5months and still cannot adjust to the culture shock. The working environment does not fit my working style largely due to;
1. CEO loves yelling and use abusive words on employees of all levels
2. Meetings are spent on pinpointing fingers who is at fault rather than resolving issues
3. Strict HR policies (a few to mention); (a) no using hp during office hours, (b) no hp in meetings (and their meetings drag very long), (c) can only visit pantry before 9am, lunch hrs, or after work, (d) duty roster to clear rubbish at pantry for executives and below (e) no half day policy, and many more.
4. CEO had 2 monitor screens with cctv cameras that he will look at whole day (aside from attending meeting and yelling at employees). He wants to know every single movement you make, and will also make rounds to see if you are working.
5. Colleagues are pretentious. They are nice to you and once in the meeting room, they start shooting you, adding fuel to fire to the point that the CEO will yell at you because of the additional contribution.
6. Meetings held daily to discuss even up to a very trivial matter. Don't find it efficient as the meeting will drag and time is not used productively.

So far i've only been talked to rudely once in a meeting but every day i fear being the "next" one to be yelled at. The constant fear is causing me panic each time im at work when i sense boss is doing his round. When others get scolding, my anxiety increases. It seems like he's the type where nothing is good enough and no matter how much you've done to cover your own ass, he or others always can create "loopholes" and start scolding you for not thinking about it in advance.
I've gone for several interviews but no luck. It was also lucky that i could take that 1 day "urgent" leave to attend interviews. I find it hard to follow the golden rule of not quiting a job before getting another job line up for me as i cant find the right excuses to go for interviews.

It's affecting my health as i feel depressed but scared that i will be jobless for months. There's house to pay and i have a baby to take care of.

What should i do?

Just throw the letter at your boss. Dont worry. You will be fine to get a job in Singapore.

What a terrible environment.. Care to share more? For example, industry, function, company size, etc..

It's in agri and im doing marketing. Over 30+ headcount. The hiring manager whom interviewed me was suppose to be my direct reporting mngr but she left after hiring me and even before i officially start work (she worked for 7 months only and holding a management post). When she left i sense something was wrong w the environment and soon found out from the vendors that she often get yelled at from my CEO even in front of 3rd parties. Im left alone in my dept and i know i'm bound to get yelled at sooner or later be it for any reason. Those who worked there seems to be able to take in such abuse as they have been working for quite long.

If you cannot bear with it then just quit and look for another job. I been to a new job before and managed to work for just 2 weeks before I left the company. Except for the first day, everyday I was been yelled at for reason made up by the Associate Partner. First, she will tell me to go to her room then told me to close the door behind me and started scolding me in a high pitched voice. I literally burst into tears UNCONTROLLABLY cos I didn't do anything wrong at all. And it was not one time or two times. It was everyday. And the Associate Partner would walk pass my workdesk and looked at me as though I was doing something hideous. It was a madhouse really.

We all need basic courtesy and respect.

If I were you, I will just leave. I'm sure there many other jobs out there, may not be the best paying but at least you can sleep peacefully at night.

If you fear going to work every day, it is time for you to leave.

I'm even too scared of handing in my resignation (need 2 days notice). I know he will say some unpleasant words or even make my 2 days unbearable. Also, it will be so awkward to face my colleagues. Should I just submit email notice and forgo the 2 days salary?

i'm sure you can find better jobs outside. your current co really sounds horrible.
i left too cos of a somewhat similar boss like yours. Health is more impt than anything, i dont see any point in trying to tolerate all these nonsense. It's very meaningless. If you lower your expectations you will definitely find a job faster than expected.
