Singapore's Pharma/Biotech Industry

Hi guys!

I'm interested in a career in a pharma/biotech company in Singapore, but the details seem to be little.

If possible, can I have a brief introduction of work in the industry from those who have direct experience or know people who do?

From my searching online, it seems that the industry in Singapore is more focused on manufacturing and processes rather than R&D, so jobs available are usually like process engineer, QC chemist etc. I guess the research work is left to universities and A*STAR.

Therefore, can someone enlighten me on how the work in this industry is like? Do you feel like you are making a difference/helping people indirectly? What qualifications are best for entering the industry, and what are the opportunities for career progression?

You join a job not an industry. State which job in which company you are interested, otherwise is just general empty talk.

Prospects are very good if you're the ambitious type. Don't focus to much on starting pay. Look at future earning potential instead.
