NTUC's Core Executive Programme (CEP)
Would anyone be able to shed light on the above program?
Information as follows:
NTUC MA - Core Executive Program
Targeting
Singaporean/PR university graduates/polytechnic Diploma holders
with less than 3 years’ work experience
With
Promising Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) in the retail and food & beverage (F&B) sectors as Management Associates
CEP Package includes the following
Comprehensive 12-18 months structured training:
(i) On-the-Job training (OJT) programme;
(ii) Business management, leadership and service excellence training courses conducted by reputable professional development centres like NUS Extension and NTUC LearningHub;
(iii) Retail or F&B related skills training delivered by established training providers; and
(iv) A facilitated 4D3N benchmarking visit overseas to major retail and F&B entities.
Minimum salary: $2,000 (Diploma holders) and $2,500 (Degree holders)
Other benefits: Completion bonus of $4,000 (Diploma holders) and $5,000 (Degree holders)
Career Progression: CEP candidates will be groomed to eventually fill up middle and senior positions in the organisations

Personally feel that's just a nice way to get cheap degree graduates - enticing them with the prospect of climbing up the corporate ladder.
Unless they invest heavily on you (i.e. sponsor your grad studies), they are not obliged to keep to their word of "grooming" you to fill up middle and senior management level. In fact, if you scrutinise the programme, in no instance did they say that people on this program will be fast-tracked to middle and senior management position. In any normal organisation, EVERYONE will be groomed for middle to senior management positition isn't it? The differing factor of the equation is how fast?

if you look at long term prospects, SMEs don't allow much room for growth.

Just want to ask if anyone knows of NTUC IRO (indus relations officer)... the things I found abit one sided, on the NTUC website etc..
