Figures i heard are in the ballpark region of $4xxx onwards.
I agree with you on this. I went to university with an EDB scholar. I know she graduated with 2nd Upper, not first. Yet, EDB still kept her.

Do you mean an EDB local scholar?

I know a couple of EDB entry level grads who entered with 2nd upper / not first class but yes, they had pretty stellar extracurriculars to boot.

Hi I read that stat board are not included when government announces that civil servant is getting AVC bonus

So may I know how do stat boards bonus compare to ministries?

Also, is it easier to move from a stat board to a ministry or from a ministry to a stat board?

I don't want to disclose too much or else she'll get mad at me. Hehe.

But she was an overseas scholar. Yup, I studied overseas in the U.S. with her. She probably get stellar activities record in J.C. which is why she got the scholarship. Graduate 2nd upper and EDB still took care of her.

I just want to prove an earlier point that scholards get special treatment, even if they didn't do as expected in college.

That's because the organisation had invested in her. They need ROI, so by default, scholars perform well to justify them getting scholarships in the first place. It is bull to say they do not get preferential treatment; more often than not they get big projects to do, to justify their rapid promotion.

Good until proven lousy. Even then help will be provided to justify their "poor" results if any.
