Hi, just wanna say don't give up guys! I just graduated with a deg in a public uni and over the past 2 sem, I've sent out 100+ applications and attended 40+ interviews, while studying and doing projects at the same time. It's difficult no doubt, but in the end, I've managed to land one job. Yes, just one.
Treat every failed interview as a learning experience and use it to hone your presentation skills for the next one. I've only managed to get that one job precisely because of all my 'failed' interview experiences.
Stay optimistic and trust that everything will work out in your favour one day
And I do agree with most of the previous posters that say look for a contract job first if you really can't find anything. Gain all the relevant skills from the contract job and use it as a springboard to find something better after that. It definitely beats staying at home for months aimlessly.

I read so many threads of people having difficulties looking for a job. I am not sure what you are looking for but if you are open minded, self-driven, motivated and determine to be successful/very successful, I may be able to help (seriously). PM me at 96256679...only if you are desperate.

Hurray,
I am the LonelySoul poster last week. I finally found a job after one year.
I can only say that you need to meet the right person who can empathize your situation and willing to give you the opportunity to learn. I have attended many different interviews and i can tell how stuck up some people can be. These people only believe that there is no poverty in Singapore. Of course, you need to work hard and ownself fight ownself. Like the old man said, no one owns you a living. Even if you are out of job, no one can help you but yourself.
I have wasted one year of my life and this is the chance for me to perform and excel. I need to prove to those people who rejected me in my life that they are wrong! I will learn as much as possible, outperform everyone and rise above the rank.
Hahahaha.

Got into a bad job in 2014 and left in mid 2015. After that lost all confidence in myself and became a lost soul. Not sure which types of job is suitable, and just checking Jobs DB and Job Street everyday without finding anything that attracts me to apply. Gradually sank into depressive state and not able to find a job that looks interesting to apply for. Career guides suggest I should return to software engineer or IT jobs.
Have 6 years of IT software developer experience. Jumped into an operations analyst job and was made to do business networking and idle talks with sales guys, and selling ideas to management on operation plans, plus secretarial/admin duties. As an introverted and realistic tech guy, I hated my job and every day going to work was a struggle.
Anyone been through similar phase before?

Entry level CS jobs definitely pays better than SME and MNC with better bonus, perks, etc. Happy for your iron rice bowl, hope your career takes off from here.
