Been unemployed for almost 3 months, just get a job offer for kitchen crew, but i hear from many of my friends and family say kitchen crew is a very tough and tiring job, so i am still thinking whether to accept the job offer, any advice from anyone ? Or anyone that have work before as kitchen crew could also give some advice?

Sorry to hear you are being forced to give up your job. I would assume you have been retrenched. Continue to look out for your next job. Just don't give up.

Should I work part-time ?

I am 29.
Graduated from local uni.
Unemployed for 3 months already.
Fired from last job.

Feeling desperate to work part-time, but still don't want to stoop down to such a level.
But really feeling the rush.

Which course did you study? What was your last job (Roles & responsibility, and, Industry & Size of company)?

Hmmm why were you working at a local call centre? And was your reason for being fired legit? I think it's a lot easier to explain to other employers that you were fired for reasons that weren't in your control versus reasons that were (i.e. punctuality etc).

Why would you think working part-time is "stooping down" to such a level when working at a call centre to you is not considered as "stooping down"? "Part-time", as the name says.. is just part-time. Of course you are going to be still actively looking for a job while you do the part-time - the part-time is just to make ends meet.

Most people would rather chose to do part-time if they can learn something from it while seeking for a job at the same time.. than to just accept a call centre job. Don't really learn much at a call centre except soft skills which I guess is still important nowadays.

@previous poster - pretty obvious why she was fired.. probably overpaid. Why hire a uni grad for a call centre job which even diploma/ITE/FTs can do easily ?
