I agree with some aspects of the response above, in that once you get an equivalent job, advancement will largely hinge on on job performance.
But lets not kid ourselves, when employers look at what school a candidate is from, they are thinking about more than just what the person had studied. They are looking for a track record of success and more importantly, the stamp of "quality" provided by the pre-vetting from a very selective institution. Whether this quality is real or only perceived, that's a discussion for a different day.
So end of the day, its highly improbable to get a first job in a highly competitive sector if you did a DL degree. Now, it may be possible if you first get into a highly competitive industry via a small and peripheral fish in the industry, establish your credibility and reputation, then move on to a big house.
But direct ? Very very difficult.

Analyst
Hi, how many years of bank experiences required before one can join DBS as Analyst without a degree? Must be relevant banking experiences?
Those who work in DBS or used to work in DBS, please share. Thanks.

DBS Rank
As far I concerned, Dbs Rank would be:
1. Bank executive
2. Analyst
3. Associate
4. Senior associate--- 5 years exp--- 6,5-8K
5. Assistant Vice President--7 years exp--- 7-10K
6. Vice President
7. Senior Vice President
8. Executive Director
9. Managing Director
That's as far I know..

These are titles, not rank. An Associate in IBFO is much higher ranked & paid compared to a VP in customer service.

Nope. Those are ranks. There is a range for each rank, so it is possible for some to earn more than others. But these are ranks and not titles
