Hi, HR called me to discuss on salary package and told me that this is not an offer yet and still subject to approval and checks but is unable to confirm the timeline for an offer. Already did background check as my Ex RO received email from them.

Does anyone know what are the chances of me getting hired and the timeline for actual offer?

I'd say it's 99% confirmed. Unless HR finds something very bad during the background checks. Which itself is very very unlikely.

Timeline unable to advise but typically 2 weeks to a month.

The finding that may affect the offer refers to criminal record or financial embrassment right? Any way if i were to quit before offer would it affect anything? like when doing background check and realise i havve tendered.

I wouldnt resign until i get the letter of acceptance and a confirmed start date. If you did not see the Govtech thread, some people claimed to have their offers rescinded.

To be fair, usually agencies won't rescind their offer..

Very common for PUB to rescind offers. Happened to a few of my friends already.

same as a guy above, talk about salary range, heard they doing checks, some ex/collegues tell me they got ref check request, heard they send in.

hoping for best too? no g50 yet, but if i do g50 in army already does it help?
