The background checks would not be affected by your resignation. But as the quote above, I don't recommend resigning until the new offer is confirmed.

went for the PA CM interview in end Sept
when i email the HR manazer (email got ending with from dot TP), ghosted twice

until when i whatsapp him, he tell me the account manazer will update me in due course

so that means what ah?
