interesting?
What are the interesting roles in banking back or middle office? With the most hands-on, fast paced, not super repetitive, and a lot of learning?

Has anyone gone thru/going thru the program for back office.

It seems like you're in the operation side. How about the technology side? Any better or worse?

I am not in the technology side of BO so I'm sorry I can't help you out on this.
Throughout my 4 years, I switched across 2 banks. I tend to target foreign banks because they pay better than local banks. In addition, volumes for local banks are ridiculously high so you are easily overworked.
Currently I am drawing $3,750 per month after my latest pay increment.

I can't say I agree with u on the workload. Currently in a foreign bank, workload is easily >60 hrs per week with little time for meals.

I am in a foreign bank, workload is quite light, ~37.5 hours per week with little OT. Our official hours are 9 - 5.30pm. Drawing 80k pa excluding bonus.
When you choose a foreign bank choose a small wholesale/merchant so that the workload is not so heavy Choose the major ones like HSBC/SCB/Citi and prepare to work your butt off.

Thanks for sharing.
Do you know what the average pay progression is like in BO for a degree holder (e.g. 2nd upper from ntu/ nus/ smu)? From what I believe, the starting pay is around 3.5k-4k. What is the expected progression for an average performer in major foreign/local banks?
Thanks.

Name varies across different banks so there is no point comparing. A VP in one bank can be a manager in another. Some bank has analyst, some use officers. And in some banks there are even banding system and your titles might or might not even be based on your banding
