Prospects for Business/Economics Students
With the increasingly popular Business/economics courses in Singapore,
I am always perplexed by the skyrocketing demand for studies in this aspects.
From a once normal University course just 10 years ago, to one of the most highly sought after course in recent years.
I believe that one of the main reason for the popularity would be due to the high paying jobs offered as well as the more flexible working environment.
However comparing to more specific courses such as the Engineering, Sciences, Doctors. which are definitely more specialized in what they do.
What makes Business stand out from the rest in recent years.
Please feel free to give your honest opinion, as I am gathering information for one of my projects. Thank you.

Personally i feel that business is an over glorified subject matter, as one with good interpersonal relationship would be able to lean and master the economical skills with ease.
On the other hand specialized field require a more in depth study, in which should be more welcomed into the society.
However that being that, In Singapore's context, since the government don't put ample emphasis on local talent and decide to just substitute with cheaper foreign talent, such skills are slowly drained away in the local community, which i feel might be an issue in the future when Singapore become less attractive to foreigners.
