Default [HELP!] NUS Pharmacy vs NBS Business+Accountancy

Particularly interested in the income I will have in the future should I pursue careers in relation to the above mentioned degrees, are there anyone who has got any idea how much a Pharmacist and Accountant earn in our current market? I would hope someone would provide me with some rough estimated numbers for the entry-level, 5-year and 10-year salary. Please include the benefits and bonuses one might enjoy in said occupation.

For Pharmacy, I would like to find out how much a Hospital Pharmacist (both government and private) and Commercial Pharmacist (Managerial Role in Pharmaceutical Company) would earn in a span of 5-years and 10-years.

Likewise, for Accountancy, I would wish to know how much an Accountant would take home if you were to work in the 1. Government Sector, 2. Big4, 3. SMEs.

TIA!

Don't forget that many NBS grads also end up in banking with a higher pay versus audit/finance routes.

You study accountancy doesn't mean that you have to be an auditor.

Also, will you do better in Pharmacy vs NBS? Are you more science or finance inclined? Your future compensation is also determined by how well you do in the particular course.

All of my life, I have been Science-inclined but have recently gotten really sick of the memorising and regurgitation of facts. One thing to note though... I do better in Mathematics compared to my Sciences, and I am extremely comfortable with numbers.

In actual fact, even though I'm currently in Diploma in Biomedical Sciences, my distinctions are in modules such as Maths A (statistics), Maths B (differentiation, integration), Analytical & Physical Chemistry (tons of calculations), IDEA (INNOVATION DESIGN & ENTERPRISE IN ACTION), Report Writing & Presentation etc. I don't have a single distinction elsewhere, nothing close to my core modules...

A typical accountancy graduate going to audit or commercial and become an audit or finance manager can expects about $5-8K after 5 to 7 years. If one progress to become a senior manager, financial controller or regional role, one can make more than $10-20k after 10 years.

Average accountancy graduate in the mid-thirties with 10 year experience should earn between $100-$200K per year.

... but almost everyone with a decent degree can make 100k-200k by age 40, accountancy or not.
