The company I am interviewing with is one of them and the position I am interested in Recruit Consultant. I wish to know how to negotiate for a better pay with them.
Quarterly Bonus I think.

Discretionary in the sense that "team based".

If your manager likes you, you get more. You can close more and get less, but you can close less and get more. Depends on how well liked you are.

Hi everyone, wanted to get some career advice. I graduated from a local uni and have 1 year exp in talent acquisition in a MNC, but I've only been doing coordination work. Career progression seems slow so far and it may take 3-5 years before I can be a recruiter. Should I wait or should I change to a recruitment consultant job in a agency? Thank you!

You may want to ask ur manager if they have any plans to let you do more? Or you can volunteer? I would rather stay on in MNC rather than to become recruitment consultant... because it is easier to become a consultant rather than an in-house recruiter.

But of course, if you are good and have what it takes, it doesn't matter where you go. But I would say hang in there.

I hope you know that in an agency you are basically a sales person. You sell the job to the applicant. You sell the applicant to the client. If your temperament is suitable, then it is ok to make the move. If you don't like selling but prefer to be on the buying side picking and choosing, stay in the MNC.

Thanks for the advice. They do have plans but it will be slow - 3 to 5 years. This is because before I can move, they need to have the budget to hire someone else to take my place. I'm just thinking in terms of opportunity costs. Because in an agency, I can learn all these within 6 months to 1 year.

I don't think there is any pre-qualifications needed to work in HR.
