1) Is the working hours for dxo very long and exhausting? Or is it like 8 to 5 and can have time for family?
2) Will they be doing salary matching with my current salary? If there is a paycut, how much will it be roughly?
3) Will my experience of an army regular be an advantage to enter into dxo?
I know these are very technical questions that i should actually ask their HR, but i would like to get some sensing of answers from here first.
If no answers but personal opinions are also welcome to share!
Thanks guys!

The trick that many regulars do is to downgrade/transfer yourself to units in a way that lets you more or less work at office hours while maintaining the official combat status.
If you just do a direct application to DXO, you will suffer minimally a 1/4 pay cut. I know of a 3WO same thing, he was from Armor and essentially maneuvered himself to be converted to MP unit thereby lessening his workload and still maintain close to his combat pay.

Hi all,
I am currently a perm staff working in a ministry under the MX scheme and keen to apply for job with MinDef as a DXO. I had heard from my peers that if you are a current MX officer with ministry, you will have to resign from the ministry to join the DXO scheme and the years of service and bonuses you would be getting in the civil service etc will not be considered. In other words, staff movement policy does not apply in this case. Can I check whether have anyone done this switch before and would it be worth it in the long term to do a switch from the MX scheme to the DXO scheme? Thanks.

DX 7 EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT?
DX 8 SENIOR EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT?
DX 9 EXECUTIVE?
DX10 SENIOR EXECUTIVE??
DX 11 MANAGER?
Is that how their rank and so equivalent naming works??
If i sign on as a DX7, how long would it take for me to go to DX9?? On the basis of an above average performer??
Do the promotion also once again subject to vacancies like how the saf officer works??
Anyone know how the assistant executive procedure flow?? like receive call up for interview, then whats next? medical, security and signing of contract?

You need to leave your current MX scheme to join the DXO. I'm ex regular in the SAF, i quit and join the DXO. Only good thing is my year of service can be transfer but only applicable if you are from SAF or MINDEF.

Thanks. Seem like i will have to carefully weigh the pros and cons if ever doing the switch to dxo from mx scheme. I have a colleague who left my ministry to join mindef but he told us he did a transfer and the years of service and benefits eg all are carried over. He was a MX10 officer. So hmmm...
