Monetary Authority of Singapore
Hello..
I applied to MAS for a clerical support position 2 days ago. Not for a graduate officer position.. Nor is it for scholarship or internship.
Just wonder if anybody have any experience to advise around how long does MAS take to notify candidates if they are shortlisted and how would the interview be like for clerical support positions.
Thanks

I assume by clerical support you mean admin clerk? Usually should be quite fast within a week or so.
As for interview, maybe 1 or 2 managers will pretend to ask some usual irrelelvant questions for show, but other than that it's quite straight forward.

Oh, I didn’t know Personal Assistant was classified under clerical support, I thought they are under management services… Clerical support is usually for admin assistants and front desks.
Do you have any idea which boss you will be supporting? Should be either Exec Director, AMD or MD then got PA…
If it’s PA job then I think interview process will be much longer, definitely need to familiarize yourself with your boss as the relationship is much closer than normal job. He / She will also need to view a wider range of candidates before deciding. Maybe you can check with your headhunter on the progress?

For PA it all depends on rapport with big boss, timing wise can range from on the spot to forever depends on whether got chemistry between both of you.
But to be frank, most boss already have someone in mind to be their PA. Especially MAS senior directors most got close links to governement, I suspect you will need some connections and referrals to work out.

Normal Personal Assistant is fine la. Don't scare her.
Unless it is the special type of "Personal Assistant". That one is confidential

This is strange... the 2 PAs I know join through a headhunting firm (can't recall the name), never heard of them posting all over the place on normal job portals.
Do you have a link to the job ad? BTW I haven't heard news of any of the PA leaving or retiring, will check with the one I'm close with if I see her.
