I saw from previous posts SM can be the terminal state for some people. so what's the typical criteria for one to reach DD or even D in iDA?

another question is, if in consultant track, is there an earlier terminal title compared to management track? or is it still able to progress and merge to DD / D titles.

thanks!
aiya, it all depends on e profile of ur project. if project is ubber high profile and u get a string of high profile projects, can make it to D from entry-level in 10 year, else wait lor.

dun bother with tracks. Titles like consultant or manager doesn't matter. Some senior manager runs a team, some don't; same for consultants. Just look at the grade. Get G13 will be DD, and G14 will be D.

But reality is that it is not easy to get D. DD is the default terminal grade.

Anyone knows more about this? Or is that a new scheme?

Recently saw a job posting which the job title is called head of something.
What is the pay scheme like comparing to AD and senior manager?

Are they commanding the same pay as DSTA ? Since it is on the engineer scheme too.

How's the work hour and other flexible benefits ?

Thank you !

PS: From DSTA thread

salary for fresh graduate engineer that came in this month:

with ns
1st class = 4270
2nd upper = 3970
2nd lower = 3770
Each year they increment how much ?
Each year they get how much bonus for performance bonus, mid year, end of year and AWS ?

Good guys, you will regret joining IDA.

IDA is famous among Singapore engineering community for ultra politicking. Having lost all their credibility, high salary is the only way to save their grace.

Typically they get 16 months salary a year, while those guys inside sucks big time technically. Meanwhile they can console themselves that they are "planners", project managers, who are the kind that PAP government think they deserve high salary.

The outside contractors and good engineers do the real work.

PAP jobs are hopeless unless you know how to suck coc.

Any professionals out there who knows more of implementation consultant career? Just got an offer few days ago from a private O&G company, wondering how is the career path and salary I should ask for.
