Default Advice me please.

So I've actually been offered a position as an AXA financial adviser. I understand that this is just a glorified name for insurance salesman but I'm still am willing to try it cause I would like to know whether I'll be able to do sales.

What attracted me to this position is that AXA is willing to pay for my M5, M9, M9a and H1 papers and if I passed all of them on my first attempt I'll receive some financial reward.*

However, the issue I have with the position is that I have to work odd hours. I am aware of this and I am more than willing to sacrifice my time and put in an effort but the interviewer informed me that I'll be required sometime to work as late as 2am to socialise with clients. I would like to seek opinion from edmw on whether this is common. This bugs me because firstly, from my knowledge, as a new recruit I would spend most of my time building my client base. So shouldn't I be out on the roads approaching potential customer. Secondly, as a newbie I wouldn't have any client to socialise with. Also the interviewer told me that I'll be able to earn up to $15k in my first month. It feels unlikely but do anyone know whether this is achievable? Also do you think this position is legit or it a scam?

Shldnt be my results as I have an expected fch (among sim students). So I'm curious is it becoz they do not hire sim students for these kind of roles but since u have gotten in, so I'm thinking u have some experience or outstanding internship? Or maybe I didn't look hard enough to find those companies which are hiring. :/

Yea ur right. I'm well aware of it too. I did a research about the company before accepting the offer. I guess anyone will do that in advance?? I don't mind overtime. That's not an issue for me. It's job scope but so far, this is the best offer I have gotten. :/
If I can afford to be jobless, I will definitely wait and continue looking, but well...
You need to know people in whichever company you are applying for. Most of these companies are using recruiting companies. Most of your direct applications, if not all, will not be responded to, even if these jobs are posted on job sites. My advice is sign citco and keep on looking, then you can massage your way to a better package when the chance comes.

i found a job 3k but its operations at hedge fund though..
Well I did a 5 months role with the local bank in my final year study. I felt that exp will be more impt than results cos even before that I temp at Recruitexpress thus I understand what I lack and that paper is not everything, furthermore a uol paper.

I guess more than 50% is luck, cos usually these risk mgt roles requires someone with exp. Looking to gain exp and internal transfer to market risk dept
