These SIM students are mad. SIM UOL is NOT LSE, and not comparable to LSE!!
I think the ones who put it down on their resume are jokers. Thankfully, most banks have competent enough HRs to filter this. It's just quite sad because it dilutes the brand of LSE.

We are tested to the same academic standards as LSE, and are as good or even better than LSE. And LSE also admits in this website that University of London degrees include those taught at LSE. Means LSE = UOL.
So stop bashing people who put LSE, it is the same as UOL. And stop be jealous that you are from a non-UOL/non- LSE background.

Let's end this thread once and for all. For those that 'graduated' from SIM-UOL (or even NUS, NTU, SMU), please search for your school page from the Big 3 Elite Consultancies.
I have provided the links here for campus search:
McK: ://.mckinsey.com/careers/your-career/McKinsey-on-campus
BCG: ://.bcg.com/careers/join/on-campus/default.aspx
Bain: s://.joinbain.com/apply-to-bain/undergraduate-and-masters/default.asp
If your school is elite enough, it WILL be listed on the Campus Recruiting pages of MBB consulting. If not, just go home and be sad that all your hard work and study slogging out on your 'degree' won't even get you to interview stage with elite firms.

Yes let's stop here ok. Since you all say that employers will immediately know, then let the employers sort out who is from what school. No need to post linkedin links here.
Btw please see topuniversities.com/where-to-study/europe/united-kingdom/top-10-universities-london
Shows that UoL is really one of the best in the world compare to NUS/ NTU/ SMU/SUTD.

UOL definitely for real is not LSE. the only time you are recongised as LSE is when your degree cert is the same as LSE students. for example, under SIT programme thou they partnership with UofG (Uni of Glasgow), the students get the same piece of degree as UofG student back in Glasgow..even for school like NUS they collaborate with MIT, the cert is still from NUS but with a statement to say it is a collobration with MIT? any partnership private school as long you dont get the same piece of degree cert back at the parent insitution, you have no right to say they are the same.

It is just irritating to see people keep posting linkedin profiles of people who put LSE, so what if they put? I am not the one stirring, its more like other people keep stirring to bash UOL grads for no reason and this keeps repeating on and on and on. Even when someone brings the thread back to its original topic, the same person posts linkedin profile again. Why don't you ask them to stop instead?
But ok I'm sorry if what I said offend anybody.

no no no.
im from the REAL LSE - i studied for 3yrs in london, not singapore.
LSE degree certs are issued by LSE, not UOL.
SIMpsons have UOL on the degree certs, NEVER LSE.
LSE does not have distance learning. it might be difficult for nus/ smu/ ntu grads here, but UOL is the administrative body of a few - king's/ LSE etc. my profs are mostly nobel winners, and they definitely do not lecture in singapore. period.
LSE is one of the top schools in the UK, no way will they allow the famed name to be misused on some half baked bunch of losers.
