I received an automated email from Workday to my work email that the other company in govt sector has received my job application. Since the govt sector now use Workday across board, will my current company knows about this?

No, I don’t mean I used work email! The standard application ask for declaration if I had work in government sector. I didn’t even provide my current work email and the stat board I am in. Yet it automatically sent a confirmation of the application to my work email, just because the companies are using the same Workday platform.

Your HR will receive the notification for sure. If they are koksters, they might inform your boss. Happened to my ex-colleague. Boss asked to speak to him. Didn't end up well for him. But I assume was an isolated case of the HR rep being an idiot.

Hi Jenn, just curious if the email that went to your work email because the workday is using your work account?

I thought the job application is confidential and HR or manager will not know. This is indicated in the workday user guide.
