I had the grades to apply for both nursing, eee in nus, ntu, mechanical and some other engineering in ntu but I was specifically heavily influenced by my parents to go computer science in SIM instead. I just think they know best about the market somehow.

imagine being such a cringe that you have to flex that you have “the grades to apply for both nursing, eee” in NTU and NUS. LOL bro, don’t tell me why grades are more impt when your own grades are clearly failing to enter into NUS CS and NTU CS. maybe should get those grades up than being a useless SIM grad that nobody cares (and prob lower pay than NUS and NTU CS, oops) and telling us that grades matter 😂

wondered if you even checked the IGP to get into nursing / EEE / Mech Eng in NUS and NTU or were you thrown on the wall and then dropped on the floor as a baby? pretty sure the entry grades for these lousy courses are DDD/D 😂

I just don't get why internship is more important than grades? My parents told me for a fresh graduate, grades are way more important than internship because they show how much you actually learned and graded by your professors compared to your peers.
I am asking about whether to put the eSports experience in resume because I obviously don't look like I am 20 as a fresh graduate.

you call this forum pointless yet u make silly threads and meaningless posts, ignoring all the valid advices that u were given...
if u are really a 30 year old sim cs grad, all i can say is good luck, you're gonna need it... especially with your "my parents are 100% right, everyone is wrong" hard headed attitude. to others i suggest not wasting your time feeding this troll. just ignore this thread.

Damn bro, savage.
The truth hurts. I pray that TS is a troll and not a actual 30 year old SIMtard.
If not really gg.... Bad enough being a SIMtard but to flex grades LOL Jesus.

For 30 years Singapore and this education system has already been teaching you…
If you haven’t learn it by then, you never will.

i would say, only put gaming experience if it is relevant to the job that you are applying to. but if the gaming experience is irrelevant, then dont put on resume. but i agree that you should continue studying and gaining new skills. it really helps these days when you have degree etc. if you're more ambitious, you can consider using the skillsfuture credits for skillsfuture courses. there are many courses out there that can help you to pivot to IT roles if you are keen. there are courses from poly, BCG RISE, schools etc. really helpful in your career if you keep gaining new skills.
