From the current understanding.
There will be a few tranches of headcount cut, and some announcements on the plans moving forward on 9th May townhall.
Emplacement numbers are already confirmed. And whether you will be emplaced or not will come very soon.
Increment is standard. Merit increment as per your PB.. 3% for C, and etc...
Revive this thread because a very large pool of officers will be retrenched soon.

They already said from the start they only need 30% of the staff strength in the long-term.

i doubt there will be any fire fighting done. most if not majority of the staffers are all on contract basis. they have no liability other than letting the contract lapse, or even allowing the staff to go on "garden leave" prior to the last day.
this is actually not new if you consider that NEA and MOM actually have done it before to their other augmented units. if i remember correctly,
MOM's Certis contracts only have 1-3 days notice prior to termination. that is brutal AF

maybe he/she finds meaning in the job they do. cant blame them.
i overhead a conversation that a ACE officer actually said that he will do anything and everything just to secure his place, the colleague's face was stunned like vegetable.
i look at the officer, and i doubt he can even climb 2 flights of stairs without panting like a dog...

You’re not wrong to say that, because after all >90% of ACE officers are on contract. But cutting down manpower, say 600-700 civil servants, will definitely look bad on the ministry.
The difference between the Certis Auxiliary HOs vs ACE officers are that the former are purely outsourced manpower whereas the latter are civil servants.

Fears of this are way overblown.
1) MOM will say that they gave full disclosure to these guys right from the start that there would not be a need for that many of them in the future.
2) These guys are on contract, and it is not unexpected to let contracts end without renewing them as this is adjusted based on organization needs.
Lastly, but maybe most importantly,
3) Low risk of public backlash. Public does not even know what is the ACE program and will probably associate them with safe distance ambassadors.
