Grad program or no? The grad program pays 5k & has AC typically (unless someone reneged, doubt they are still hiring)

Been at GS in a non FO role and left to join FO at a lesser bank, please just do no join the ops programme. Yes they pay decent but you will prob stop progressing at VP rank with stagnating pay and no chance to move. Even worse, the work i find extremely boring - the ones I worked with are helping with automating some trading processes and thrs so much red tape that this process has been dragging on like forever. As other posters mention, would probably even be better to join a local bankFO...

VP Operations in Goldman is really good just how many can reach SVP FO? Still think that the weakness of local banks capital markets is the lack of major new listings plus major M&A still need the BB banks to be the main underwriters. Therefore difficult to reap fast progression.

Yes BO. If you don’t face clients you are BO. Another way to tell is to just see your salary. Front office gets 8-9k for markets and 10-11 for IB (this is first year analyst) salary.
If you’re BO - maybe 5k max 6k
