Can attest. In the large buyside AM firms, fresh grad ops roles pay between 5k to 7k, higher than most BB Analyst ops roles. Dont know why people are so hung up on banks lol

Buyside investment roles usually not open to fresh grads. Typical route is sellside investment banking into MBA then a summer analyst role before being hired. And if you have to ask abt pay you're never going to get it anyway.

Ok unnecessary reply - you’re not addressing the question.

The larger shops do hire fresh grads for product roles though but agree investment roles (portfolio management) typically do require MBA to get into

Because that was a very stupid question. Portfolio managers' remuneration is largely variable and depends greatly on results and AUM. So it can vary from 100k to millions per annum. What's the point in asking?

Not for investment analysts which also falls under the “investment role” category. They don’t have their comp tied to pnl. And what’s the point of your previous reply?
