How is the pay for ASP 2? Similar to AD pay under the mx scheme?

There's one component that your bosses and other management must think or support that you are ready for promotion to take up higher responsibilities. If you kena arrow by other Dir or not support then becomes hanging unless your boss really fight for you.
Another possibility of getting promoted other than your leadership or ready to take higher role is hitting your ceiling and YOS (year of svc) due for promotion to match your next bandwidth pay scale.

If this is true, then i'm really not here or not there.
My bosses were pushing for my promo. I was notified I missed it, although I received a good grade this year.
I am hitting my ceiling this year.

If you dont mind sharing, how many years have you spent in your current role to have hit the ceiling? I'm under the impression it would take years or even close to a decade.

4 years.
In fact, when i entered, i wasn't very far away from the ceiling. Then there was one round of ceiling adjustment.
Fast forward to today, hit ceiling.
Assuming I get promoted next year, I'd still be near the ceiling of the new job grade, which I estimate will take 3 years to hit again.
I had told my bosses, given the scenario i am in, promotion is just for me to raise ceiling.
