i would take these numbers with a pinch of salt. you mean to tell me a fresh grad is earning 10k? sounds inflated. i personally wouldnt hire someone and pay them so much. How can someone with no experience can add that much value? I think these large numbers are after their so called training program, initially they only draw smaller salary. just my 2c

IB & SnT really earns up to $10k in BBs. It's a fact. Do a quick google search, or look up Glassdoor.

Please dont anyhow assume. I graduated as one of the top law students in my batch from one local unis. Starting was >6k. I really dont see the pay gap between law and banking being so high. I work with bankers on cases fyi. What are your credentials? Do you work in one of these positions and if so, if you could show us your 10k paycheck we will believe you.

I work in IB at a BB and can verify that these numbers are true. In fact, when you consider 10 month bonuses (and I've heard of some traders getting higher) the take home is usually higher than 200k. The salary structure in law firms is unfortunately very different in that the senior folks keep everything and the juniors get left with nothing. Banking rewards you from day 1. Not very good from a health perspective though but thats another story.
