No matter how loyal or passionate you are, without talent and competence you are just going to be hacked again and again and again.

岳飞 is a good example. he was a capable, talented and loyal general, but was done in by a bunch of jealous, incompetent and sellout bureaucrats.

Is senior assistant director a senior IC or managerial role? What is the typical profile or YoE for senior assistant director with CSA? Any use what is their typical salary range and package like?
