How to buy a private condominium?
A lot of us may think buying a condominium may not be within reach. Therefore the easiest best thing is to purchase a BTO as your first marital home as it is more affordable. But if today you are given a choice and knowledge that owning a private condominium may be easy and not hard to achieve would you still proceed with a BTO?
The possibility of upgrading from a BTO to a private condominium may be harder as there is the additional buyer stamp duty imposed on a buyer who still holding on to the HDB. A singaporean who owns a 2nd property will have to pay a absd of 17% compare to a 1st time buyer who pays 0% absd.
