currently a new staff with one of the hospitals under Singhealth. According to the HR staff when I went for signing of offer, mid year and year-end bonus is actually the performance bonus payout. majority of the performance bonus will be paid in midyear, and the remaining balance would be paid at the end of the year.

meaning? did they tell u the bonus of an average performer? 2 mths? 3 mths?

I have not heard of any SB that offers 8 months PB, even for A performers. Unless you're Director level and gets an A for appraisal. Else there is no way entry to middle mgmt level can get 8 months bonus for PB. That is definitely not average. Please don mislead people into thinking people in the public sector earn a lot.

Although healthcare institutions tend to mirror public agencies, the PB bonus of 3 - 4 months is typical for a C+ to B grade. So that is definitely not average. Public Sector don't even get 2+ months for the so-called "VC"; the typical "extra" bonus that civil servants will get in a very good year is 1 month. And that is dependent on the economy. So I don't know where you get all these information from.

sorry is not 8 mth. is 0.8 month. I miss a dot
