Why are the sellers ridiculous? The value of a piece of property is based on the current valuation and not how much the owner bought it for.[/QUOTE]

When I bid 2.3M - that was the market. However, the owner wants 2.4M. If I paid 2.4M, it would look like an anomaly, an aberration on the URA caveat lodged website. Basically he is ridiculous because he wants his price to be above market or else he would not sell. He is, in other words - greedy, like most landed property sellers.

Is your condo fully paid up? Or do you mean to say that your net rental income every month is able to cover the monthly repayment of 3k for D15 house?

Not necessarily. It could imply that if you respect the poh piah king, then either you are uneducated or act like an uneducated person.

You cannot say they are greedy as freehold / real landed property is a diminishing asset.

The increase in the supply of so-called "landed property" in recent years is 99LH / fake landed property a.k.a. cluster housing.

When you join the ranks of the landed property owners, you too will become a greedy bastard (or perhaps bitch keke). There are the haves and the have nots. If you want to join the haves, then you have to give up something you worked very hard for and take some risk.

How could I grow from passive income?
Not looking to invest on prty as price is too high and need to pay 40% downpayment.
Non-risk taker in investment but willing to consider valuable blue chip stock as long term.

Aim to achieve $2M cash while still living in current HDB.

Thankful for valuable advise.
Congrats for being able to accumulate so much cash. To grow it you probably need to learn how to put the money to work harder for you. For example, just put your 750K cash into citibank stock. You can buy me coffee in some years time when you hit $2M

Seller is not being ridiculous. He is free to name his own price. There is something wrong with your thought process. Perhaps you should leave the investment decision to your husband.

I feel sorry for you - from the way you speak, you must have had critical parents and then you turn out to be one yourself. Quick to judge, quick to critique. Don't believe you get the chance to do this in real life. If you speak like that to your friends in real life, then you don't have many friends at all. Absolutely unconstructive comments.

Have you wondered why people don't LISTEN to you when you speak. What an absolute turn off. Pity your wife if you have one.
