I assume by "negative equity", you mean your stocks net of capital is -1.5M

So your net worth is (4.2-2.9) + 1.1 + 0.3 - 1.5 = 1.2M

Still way higher than what most Singaporeans can ever accumulate in their entire lives.

Be happy.

Actually negative equity refers to my debt position greater than cash.
so actual number is 4.2-2.9+1.1+0.3=2.7 M

Am contended, but looking at the loan, it makes me depress. Want to be debt free!

downgrade your house to a still-posh condo and you'll be less depressed, esp when property is still hot. you must have realized that most of your net wealth is stuck in that big luxury house you live in.

How do you all get so much?

I'm interested in knowing what is the average net worth of someone who has been working around 10 years, purlely savings, no investments at all.

I have around $100k savings and $100k cpf. still paying back degree loan as I'm using the slowest payback option.

I am really interested in investing rather than keeping all the cash in a sock, but am worried about devaluation.

Now is the wrong time to invest. Many seasoned investors are already holding cash, or at least planning to do so in near future, and waiting for the opportune time to re-enter the market.

The bulk of my wealth is in cash now. In SGD.
