Of course they do. they will check you did not misrepresent your role/scope of work and also your performance records. If your hiring manager wants to, he/she can even request to speak to your formal co managers via HR. If you don’t pass the background check then you end up with no offers so don’t burn any bridges.

Don’t personally work there, but this is a BO client servicing operational role which is completely separate with prime sales.

Hmm thanks. So when is the best time to tender the resignation letter ? Initially, i thought after obtaining the offer letter , we can immediately tender the resignation letter. However, from what you had mentioned, seem like still have to wait the background check if being confirmed then able to resign officially from previous company ?

I suggest minimum 2 weeks after signing the offer letter. 3 weeks to be safe. But most people just resign right away which is fine of course, shouldn’t be a worry if you have been honest throughout the application process or did not do anything terrible in your previous company.

thank you for your reply I guess you are lucky not to resign first once you had your offer letter. haha... By the way, how do you negotiate your offer with them ? Can share some tricks ? Would it be bad if raised for a package that is too much ?
