I read another post which said civil service doesn’t offer salary by matching your last drawn pay, but instead they have their own payscale and will compare you to someone inside with similar years of experience.

person who posted the query wrt the transition to social ministry.

agreed, one of HR did share that even if under the movement policy, they will not match the last pay and select the lower of the two (last drawn vs newly calculated salary).

Seems like the government don't want to pay for talent at social Ministries. Disappointing since their jobs are not any less important. And pay is a fair consideration for joining for farmers without deep pockets.

What's the grade and expected pay for AM/M role for IMDA?

Grade 6 is $29xx-$57xx if i recall correctly.

AM is grade 6/7
M is grade 8/9

Ministry are directly working for minister. Like you work in ministry of law or ministry of finance.

Stat board usually have their own CE or CEO. Eg are like HDB, SFA

Unfortunately from a pragmatic angle social ministries have no economic value.

Is it true that most farmers are capped at mx11a, and retire at that level unless they are selected for leadership positions? The pay seems low to stagnate at.
