Go and google FIRE. As long as your passive income > spending, you can retire. I plan to retire at 45 when I have 2 mil invested, giving me 140K on average a year. have fun with running the rat race until the retirement age

2m invested = 140k a year earnings?, 100% sure you've never invested in anything in your life.

Fking delusional. Good luck, let me know when you hit 2m at age 65. real millionaires don't waste their time posting on this dogshit forums wasting their time.

****ing delusional is u. The average return of S&P 500 is 10.5%. Real millionaires have all the time to spend, not like poor little bugga like you who have to work until you die.

I think what he probably meant was that a 7% annual return is not that easy to achieve lah. dont take it too hard. but i do think he has a misconception about millionaires. There are many millionaires in Singapore. Just look at this BT article. over half a million of locals are millionnaires. It's no big deal man.
