My family earn a modest income of $200k pa and we find $60k COE cheap.

COE will be $200k and condo prices will go higher.?? Haha..Show you don't really understand Singkie and how the land of kiasi and kiasu is governed.

Already accumulated around 7 million in cash and assets by 38. Already have around 30k passive income per month to spend but unable to completely spend it all. The assets just keep growing, lost interest in spending money. Now I just randomly choose a country to visit every month and disconnect from the world.

Good for you. You are more successful than all of us here. Much better than the old man who only has $5.5m in net worth (not alone but together with his wife).

Are you doing ok yourself? How do you compare against the old man?
I think we should be respectful of people especially our elders. There is a lot we can learn from their wealth of life experiences. At the end, we will all grow old too.

Despite the CNY buying season, COE premium still drop to $55k.
Looks like after next Feb. The COE will continue to decline to the $40k region.
My hope for a $30k COE looks to be realized soon!
Praise myself for being patiently waiting. Huat ah!

if yours happen, then we both Huat Huat ah! we can laugh at those people who buy at $90k COE. They suffer $80k loss in COE within 3 years, not accounting the car depreciation itself.

Everybody can be happy, just be realistic to know what lifestyle you can afford, don't expect more or less from there.
Only if and when all singkies start comparing/competing one other with that kiasi and kiasu mentality, then they all gone crazy..
Merry Christmas....

You are doing well. Always look at those who have lesser than you. Don't compare with those who has more than you. The comparison will never end. That is why some people will still feel not rich enough even if they have $5m. They will never feel enough, they are so attached to worldly things that they will never fill satisfied. Don't be a slave to this temporary worldly things.
Just search in you tube "global poverty" and you will realise how lucky you are.
