Quite competitive. Are you good at research or come from white horse family? Otherwise, good luck.

Can I ask, how long does it take for a gp group to get back to you once you submit a job application? I submitted an application 1 week ago, but haven't heard back from them. Is it safe to say I got rejected?

Hi, would like some advice from seniors.
I passed the recent mmed exam (results out last night?. I am thinking out of going out to explore gp land for a while, also to take a break from the system as the last 6 months plus COVID years really stressful. Long term, I am interested in medical education.
I am just wondering
1) is there avenue/ways for private gps to take part in medical education. Can be for medical students or for Drs taking gdfm for e.g (does the college cfps accept fresh mmeders to become gdfm tutors, or even programme b tutors)
2) is there any way for gps to do fellowship. Not questioning about the pass/success rate for now, but is there a viable pathway for gps to pursue this (e.g something like the programme b for mmed), and has any gps done it before.
Tbh, I am not ruling out returning to public in the future, but just wanted to explore my options outside for a while

hi! i passed yesterday too. im from programme b
i have a senior who did fellowship as a GP. he quit halfway coz he felt it was not helpful for him. but he did get to start.
i think there are a few GPs who are program b tutors..maybe can ask program b director if u want to help. i think they are always looking for help.
i got another friend who starting facilitiating ethics classes for medical students also.

1. Can. Not only gdfm, u want teach m.med also can
U can also email ntu and ask to be a clinical tutor
Pays 150 am hour
2. Can. Not a lot though.
Last time research not so stringent but now a lot harder
U will die at the research portion,Becuase no institutional support
Can do a systematic review however
U might also have difficulty finding complex cases
3. Ask Ur clinic for a 6 months no pay. Then go locum on the sly.
Hahaha
