Some of the posters here eat too free nothing to do... How many of you here actually have a solid written offer waiting for you to sign? If you guys are so desperate to know the bonus, just ask whatever HR from the glc when they make you the offer. What is the point of all this nonsense arguing over definition of glc, must have greater calling, not happy look down by doctors, this scheme that scheme different from civil service or not etc?

people who are so impatient (eg unregistered @ 12.25pm) shouldnt be working in the healthcare service, you'll fail the JCI for service quality if you are. (& I'm a current staff in a healthcare GLC).

generally, bonuses are unpredictable because its subjected to how well the company does. an average of B grades in performance can get around 2.5-2.8mths if company is doing ok. excluding AWS (13 mth) yet. do the calculations yourself.

There is no diff between admin executive, ancillary and AHPs bonus from my knowledge after speaking to an admin staff about it.

salary increment wise also subjected to performance but may differ within the various healthcare clusters so i shant reveal any info abt that.

in short, dont join this industry if the pay matters so much/if you dont have the compassion to help and serve others.

More insights needed! So how many month in total roughly an average performer get? Cause is B average? I presume C is an average. More insights definetely needed

Cant say much but in my glc, D is the lowest, then C is fair, B is good. There's A and A+ too. No mention how much C gets.

Ok. How about the salary ceiling for the admin scheme for each particular ranks?
Any insights?

someone previously posted a few links to the GLCs scheme for AHPs. Admin and that shldnt differ much. or you can do a google search on that pdf file. you seem to be very concerned about the pay. if that's the case then maybe other jobs might suit you better.

Personally, healthcare work culture isn't quite my cup of tea. Bureaucratic and hierarchical. Extreme worshipping of doctors. Having worked in other industries before, I was very surprised by the poor treatment of the staff by doctors. And such rude behavior is condoned.
They were in HR for more than 5 years, and 1 of them used to have HR experience in the private sector. I believe they can easily transfer their skill sets and knowledge should they wished to leave healthcare altogether.

Well, all public service are bureaucratic and hierarchical by nature, but that didn't deter naive, ignorant fresh grads from joining them.

I was I was considered lucky because most of the doctors I had met are nice and friendly, no airs at all. Some of them are even senior consultants. But I do heard stories about how some doctors are cold and aloof. I don't condone bad behaviours by doctors also, but sometimes you have to see past the superficial and understand why certain doctors react this way (eg: nurse makes an error that could result in death). After all it takes two to tango.

But the culture is more uncheck in local companies or smaller mncs which are run like local culture. Almost all the GLCs have typical local mentality. A HR admin wil get bully by doctors in healthcare GLC, but similarly they will also get bullied by the leasing side if its a property GLC or stamp on by BD guys if its a telco GLC.
Eh no? I have never being bullied by doctors before, neither do I hear complain stories from hr/medical affairs colleagues about being bullied. As long as you are discerning and wise in handling relations, I'm sure that will never happen. Like I said above, it takes two to tango. If you annoy or offend the doctors, then basically you are just digging your own grave, esp if your area of work requires you to work closely with them.

I need to mention that some healthcare clusters do promote and appreciate the admin staff, like appreciation day. NHG have their own Administration Day, and all admin staff are treated to buffet and free vouchers. That's pretty good already, do you honestly think that other industry GLC will have such an annual tradition in their culture?! Hell no.
