First Class Honours. Yes, it does seem high to the majority of people hearing this because they graduated quite long ago. However, this is 2014 (actually the wages have not risen to beat inflation but it has risen quite a bit still)

Many private sector companies are now willing to pay 4k/month on overall compensation for FCH nowadays, - you'll be surprised - except for business/arts, there really aren't that many Singaporean FCHs.

Do remember Apple pays above industry average.

Even their customer support pays better than ANY other company out there.

How much better is better? Market rate + 200-300?

- at least a couple of hundreds.

You cannot only look at money.

- excellent HR benefits
- excellent work environment
- brand new computers and chairs for you to use
- clean, well-air conditioned place
- countless pantry area
- plenty of sitting area
- sofas everywhere for you to rest and nap
- free flow coffee
- free expensive tea bags
- efficient mac caffee
- shuttle bus service

But the politics and people problems are always there and can hit you.

If any of the operations support Apple staff were to be given a chance to work in oil, Apple or bank. Would they have not chose apple? Well everyone says bank is where the money are and oil runs the world

Apple is a good MNC with a strong brand for their products, but as a company to work for they are still behind the oil mega mncs and international investment banks.

Apple competes for people with other big MNCs such as HSBC, SCB, Citi, Unilever, P&G, IBM, Microsoft, GSK, SAP etc at the 2nd tier level which is already very very hard to get in.

Where is Apple Singapore's office by the way? Is it the one over at AMK Industrial area ah?

Someone asked me if I was keen to explore a credit analyst role with Apple, but i preferred to remain in banks.
