The MBA premium in Asia is simply not there compared to the US. Employers don't want to pay you money simply because you went to biz school. Hope people can come to terms with this. They are willing to make you an offer, but you have to go in and prove your worth before you get a pay rise.
Why would any company pay you 10k right off the bat?

Unless that MBA is from an Ivy League Uni level like the Harvard, MIT or Insead, the rest aren't even worth the paper they are printed on. It means jackshit to employers if you have an MBA from Manchester Business School for e.g. You might are no different to a fresh grad if you do not have prior experience. That is coming from HR.

Even if the MBA is from ivy league, SG employers will not necessarily pay you more outside of product mgmt or consulting roles.

Lots of comments from people with no MBAs and are not involved in the DBS EMAP hiring process but somehow showing themselves in a DBS MA forum.
Bear in mind that these are comments from people who have no exposure to the MBA curriculum and are trying their best to rationalize why they didnt (or couldn’t) go for the MBA.

It matters not whether these people have an MBA.
If their comments are valid, there is no reason to think otherwise just because they lack an MBA.
