Yes you are right. Some organizations in the public sector or statutory boards offer 300 for NS component.

These good hons or 2.1 degree requirements are not always hard requirements. Thought this is an open secret?

ya i know can pull strings, so that guy who got in with third class pull strings la ?

No lah, these good hons or 2.1 degree requirement for some coys are more guidelines than strict requirements. I heard this from HR myself when a schoolmate asked if she(who has a 2.2) can apply.
