Nahh.. not tough.. i only have 6 months experience in accounts.. 25 this year.. I am currently assistant accountant.
Once you "seasonsed" to doing accounts, it will be a piece of cake.
Army is "relac one korner" how to become good at accounts?

But there is no way for me to find out unless i experience it myself.

Just my 2c, nothing against you. Base on my experience, people who declare easily they are ok with taking a serious paycut have not thought through it. You are now penniless NSF, so a 3k to 2k cut might not mean anything to you, but trust me once you hit 30s and get comfortable pay long enough and liabilities pile up, it will no longer be ok.
When I was young I also keep wonder why those PME get retrenched pay from 5k drop to 3k say until like so jialat until I got a 10% paycut in 2009, it sux very badly and you totally lose motivation to work.

I mean technically it is possible lah.. but he has to work doubly hard.
Alternatively he can buy college textbooks ON FINANCIAL ACCOUNT OR MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING plus his ACCA and study everyday while he "RELAC ONE KORNER AT THE SAF CORNER OFFICE, quite cosy can relac 1 korner"
